RULES FOR CONDUCTING BUSINESS ...

This MARKETPLACE is provided as a free service of the Old Brook Farm Association. All ads are placed free. No fees will be charged for this service.

All ads placed herein must be placed by an OBFA Association member (homeowner) of this association. Contact phone number must be the phone number of the OBFA Association member. OBFA Association members may place for sale or trade items belonging to friends and family members, however, the contact name and phone number published in the ad must be that of the OBFA Association member placing the ad.

Once an item is sold, bought, traded, etc., the ad must be removed by the OBFA Association member not more than 48 hours following the completed transaction. We suggest that you do not remove the ad until the transaction is actually completed--things can always go wrong.

Ads and material of an inappropriate nature will not be posted to the MARKETPLACE. Such material and items include, but are not necessarily limited to, material of a sexually explicit nature, ads containing verbiage inappropriate for children to view or read, items which are illegal, stolen items, derogatory statements or verbiage, slanderous materials, explosives and materials posing a physical threat or harm to others, etc. The Board will have the final decision as to the posting of all materials.

To place or remove ads please click "MARKETPLACE" on the dropdowm menu above and select "Post and Remove Ads" from the dropdown menu selections. When placing an ad be certain to include your name, phone number, an email address if you want one posted and indicate as to which MARKETPLACE catagory you want to place your ad (Buy, Sell, Wanted, Trade, etc.). Please include enough information when removing your ad so we can identify which ad you want removed. Ads for multiple items are, of course, permitted, but you must keep the status of items in the ad updated.

Ads will be placed for one calendar month (Example: from March 10 to April 10) unless a transaction is completed sooner, and can be renewed as often as necessary until the item sells. Watch for the date on your ad to expire and, when the expiration date is getting close, renew your ad using the "MARKETPLACE" tab above and then click on "Post and Remove Ads" from the dropdown menu. Again, please report completed transactions promptly--we don't want the MARKETPLACE to become littered with outdated ads.

PLEASE REMEMBER--ALL WHO CONDUCT BUSINESS ON THE OBFA ASSOCIATION WEBSITE MARKETPLACE DO SO ON THEIR OWN. THE ASSOCIATION WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE--FOR ANY REASON--IN ANY OR ALL MATTERS OF NEGOTIATION AND TRANSACTION IN THIS MARKETPLACE NOR WILL THE ASSOCIATION SERVE AS ARBITRATOR SHOULD DISPUTES OCCUR.
